Pride St. Louis Announces Suspension of The PrideCenter

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Pride St. Louis announced today the suspension of the PrideCenter Program effective Dec. 31, 2021.

"This decision has not come easy, as the organization hoped to maintain a local Center to continue to provide a space for the regional LGTQIA+ Community to utilize," Pride St. Louis explained in a press release. "Unfortunately, the past two years have made this option not feasible for the organization’s future sustainability."

Pride St. Louis will continue to host its annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday, Nov. 25, 2021. However, all future scheduled events will be postponed until further notice.

"Pride St. Louis would like to thank our community partners that have provided gracious support to the PrideCetner," said organizers. "Furthermore, Pride St. Louis would like to express our gratitude to the various organizations, businesses, and schools that utilized our space for various meetings and eventsthough theyears. Mostimportantly, we want to thank the regional LGBTQIA+ community for yourcontinued support of the PrideCenter.

Per their statement, Pride St. Louis will be placing its primary focus on developing and re-establishing its annual PrideFest event. The organization will continue to provide updates regarding any future events via its social media platforms.
