#Boom Magazine is a St. Louis-based news, advocacy and community publication serving the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex, ally (LGBTQIA+) and urban progressive audience. #Boom Magazine is proud to be a member of the Gateway Business Guild, and Certified LGBT Business Enterprise (LGBTBE®) through the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) Supplier Diversity Initiative.

 

Founded in February 2014, the mission of #Boom Magazine is to provide a LGBT media suite serving the St. Louis Metro and surrounding areas, with a focus on community and their perspectives on national, regional and local stories. We are proud media partners with LGBTQNation, the world's most followed LGBT news source, and The New Civil Rights Movement.

- #Boom was the recipient of the 2016 Missouri Award for excellence in coverage and support of the Miss Gay Missouri America pageant.

- The #Boom sponsored St. Louis Balloon Brigade received Best Walking Entry in the 2016 Pride St. Louis Grand Pride Parade.

- The #Boom sponsored St. Louis Balloon Brigade received Best Overall Entry in the 2017 Pride St. Louis Grand Pride Parade.

- #Boom Editor Colin Murphy was recipient of the 2016 Excellence in Journalism Award from the LGBTQ Journalists Association for Excellence in Bisexual Coverage.

- #Boom was the recipient of Proclamations or Resolutions to mark its five year anniversary in February 2019 from The Illinois House of Representatives, St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson, The St. Louis Board of Aldermen, Missouri State Representative Tom Hannegan, Missouri State Senator Jill Schupp, and St. Louis County Executive Steve Stenger.
