ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Board of Directors of TransParent are pleased to announce that Gwen Clark has been appointed board secretary.
“It is with excitement and gratitude that we welcome another high-caliber individual to our board. Gwen sought an opportunity to join TransParent after learning about our mission and recognizing that parents are critical to transgender children’s ability to thrive. She is bright, resourceful, and has already made important contributions to our organization through her advanced technological understanding and experience,” said Kim Hutton, founder and board president of TransParent.
Gwen is from just outside Denver, CO and is currently attending Saint Louis University School of Medicine. She is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis where, after studying Psychology and Children's Studies, she grew her passion in becoming a pediatrician. She is committed to giving parents resources and connections to support their children and is excited to help educate the public about gender independence.
“I am so thrilled to be welcomed onto the Board and leadership team,” stated Gwen. “Our ability to provide support for the parents and extend a lifeline to our trans youth is key to empowering gender independent children to live authentically. I’m honored to be able to contribute to the meaningful work of TransParent and spread support and advocacy for this incredible community.”
When she’s not spending her days studying, Gwen enjoys spending time with her friends and her roommate enjoying St. Louis. She can often be found hanging around Forest Park, picnicking, or wandering around STL Zoo. If she’s not there, she’s sampling all the food STL has to offer or sitting at home binging a show on Netflix.
