This year marks the 10th Annual Grove Fest – St. Louis’ highly anticipated and outrageously eclectic street festival. Presented by the Grove Community Improvement District and Urban Chestnut Brewing Company, Grove Fest is celebrating 10 years of debauchery on Saturday, October 3rd between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m.
The 10th Grove Fest has something for everyone! Family friendly during the day, kids and the young at heart will enjoy the Reliance Bank kids and family area. Face painters, puppet shows, a bounce house, live music, pumpkin painting and more will be on tap. Our Fashion Village serves as a runway for a fashion show and a stage for the first Grove Fest Drag-Off. International cuisine from Grove restaurants will keep even the hungriest happy plus Urban Chestnut, for the second year in a row, will serve their limited edition Grove Fest beer at two biergartens located along Manchester Avenue.
Grove Fest prides itself on the diversity of entertainment offered and this year is no different. Street performers, including magicians, hoop performers, street musicians and so much more will turn out for the event. The traditional Paint-by-Numbers mural returns to make everyone an artist for the day. Also, two words – Human Foosball. Where else can you do all that?
Grove Fest is a free community event, but relies on community support for production. Volunteers will be stationed at entry points this year soliciting a $5 suggested donation. Funds collected from the suggested donations go right back into the festival and help support the Grove. Everyone that makes a donation will walk away with an exclusive, limited edition token of thanks for their support.
This year, Grove Fest thanks the following sponsors for their support: The Grove CID, Urban Chestnut Brewing Company, O’Shay’s Pub, GreenStreet St. Louis, Jim Butler FIAT, Mangrove Redevelopment, Washington University Medical Center Redevelopment Corporation, Reliance Bank, Boldt Brothers Building Maintenance, UIC, The Riverfront Times, The Watering Bowl, Sitelines, LLC., Willert Home Products, Saint Louis Football Club, Cortona @Forest Park, Systems Graphics, The Regional Arts Commission, Forest Park South Business Association, The Arch Rival Roller Girls and the Gatekeepers.
Mark your calendars – with eclectic street performers, a forthcoming big announcement regarding the musical lineup, interactive art and global cuisine, there’s just so much going on at Grove Fest. Come find what you love about the Grove on Saturday, October 3rd.
