ST. LOUIS, Mo.– STAGES Performing Arts Academy is excited to welcome Tony Nominee and Broadway Star, Taylor Louderman as Director and Lead Teaching Artist of its 2020 Spring Break Camp production of PITCHING IN THE MUSICAL. The camp runs March 16-20.
PITCHING IN is a one-act STEAM youth-musical for all genders and cast sizes. The story begins when a small-town middle school loses funding for its extracurricular activities. In order to save the programs, a famous alumna brings a tech competition to the students that ask the question: what would make this community a better place?
Following the Science Club, a Robotics supervillain, and the Show Choir (disgruntled by the loss of their Talent Show), we see the students navigate stage fright, sabotage, and new friendships as they learn what it really means to work as a team. The show also explores the STEAM principles integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math into the lives of kids.
Taylor Louderman has most recently starred as Regina George in MEAN GIRLS THE MUSICAL, Lauren in KINKY BOOTS, and made her Broadway debut as Campbell in BRING IT ON: THE MUSICAL. A Missouri native, Taylor has also starred in Nick Jr.’s SUNNY DAY, NBC’s PETER PAN LIVE! and HBO’s HIGH MAINTENANCE.
"We are thrilled to welcome back this STAGES Performing Arts Academy alumna as our special guest for PITCHING IN," said STAGES via press release.
