Seay was selected for the position of Executive Director to support the growth of TransParent through its transition into a national organization. In addition to his role as a father, he is an entrepreneur who has worked as the owner/operator of two small media companies. Seay initially found TransParent when looking for resources to help guide his family as they sought to support their gender fluid child.

"Our organization has grown substantially over the past five years and the time had come to separate the roles of Executive Director and Board President,” said Hutton, Board President of TransParent. “I first met Peter at a parent support meeting and noticed several very important things about him. His deep love for his child. His passion for and commitment to the advancement of the transgender community. His success as a business entrepreneur. And his critical-thinking and strategic planning skills. All of these things made him a strong candidate for our executive director role which will be tasked with expanding TransParent nationally and developing long-term financial security for our organization."

“I am so excited to be joining TransParent at a time of such growth and potential,” added Seay. “This organization, already full of talented and amazing individuals, is poised to reach so many more wonderful families in their own journey of support and affirmation. I couldn't be more honored.”
