DES MOINES, IA - The crucial Iowa Democratic Party Jefferson Jackson Dinner, which launched then-candidate Barack Obama into front-runner status in 2007, was held on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015 at Hy vee Hall in Des Moines, Iowa. All three Democratic presidential candidates addressed the crowds - complete with a bleacher section for each of their avid supporters - which was the highlight of the evening. Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, Former Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley and former FLOTUS, U.S. Sen. and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton revved up the partisan crowd - each touching specifically on LGBT issues. #Boom Magazine was also on hand at the Hillary Clinton/Katy Perry Rally held earlier that day.
