ST. LOUIS – The holidays are fast approaching and what better way to celebrate the season of giving than a concert benefitting Food Outreach with the multifaceted blues diva Kim Massie.

Brought to you by Pride St. Louis, Inc., the sultry songstress will perform at the Lumière Theatre at Lumière Place Casino & Hotels (999 N. 2 St., 63102) on Dec. 12 at 9 p.m. Admission to the concert is FREE with a minimum donation of 5 non-perishable food items. Collection stations will be at the entrance to the theatre. You must be 21 to enter.

Massie earned a loyal LGBT following early in her career and is one of the most recognizable vocalists in the Midwest. Whether it be blues, rock, pop, country, gospel or R&B – there is little the singer hasn’t mastered for her vocal arsenal. Massie is the recipient of two Best Female Vocalist of the Year Awards from The Riverfront Times as well as a Grand Center Visionary Award in 2005. Having shared the stage with such artists as Cyndi Lauper, India Arie, Nelly and Chuck Berry, Massie has performed myriad concerts from intimate affairs and music festivals to St. Louis PrideFest. When not on tour or playing premier events she can be found with her band the Solid Senders at Beale on Broadway.

Food Outreach provides nutritional support and enhances the life of men, women, and children living with HIV/AIDS or cancer in the St. Louis area. For more information check out the Pride St. Louis Kim Massie a Benefit for Food Outreach Facebook Event Page.
