ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Pride St. Louis, organizers of the annual LGBTQIA+ PrideFest, held the first round of “Pride Idol” on March 31. “Pride Idol,” like “American Idol,” is a competition where contestants sing and perform to win a variety of prizes. Two winners are chosen each round: one by the judges, and one by the audience.

All of the contestants from the first round of “Pride Idol” gave it their all, but two contestants came out on top. The audience’s choice was contestant number five, Frankie Silguero, and the judges’ choice was contestant number eight, Victoria Carlson. Pictures of both individuals can be found on the Pride St. Louis Facebook page at

Round two of “Pride Idol” will take place at Just John bar, April 7 at 9:00 PM. Round three will take place on April 14 at the same time and location. Both round two and round three have space for ten contestants. Registration begins shortly before 9:00 PM each night. The finals, also at Just John bar, will occur on April 21 at 9:00 PM. Just John is located at 4112 Manchester Ave., St. Louis, MO 63110.

Pride St. Louis looks forward to the upcoming performances from contestants.
