Orange is the New Black star Lea DeLaria is off the market.
The actor, singer and comedienne with numerous stage and screen appearances, including her standout role of prison inmate Big Boo in the hit Netflix series made the announcement that she is marrying longtime girlfriend Chelsea Fairless on her Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts this morning.
It remains unclear if the ghosts of Michael Jackson and Elizabeth Taylor will be making an appearance at the nuptials. An altered (see above) picture from Liza Minnelli's infamous 2002 wedding to David Gest accompanied the announcement:
Despite their concerns about the patriarchal confines of marriage, actor / singer Lea DeLaria & editrix Chelsea Fairless of Brooklyn, New York are pleased to announce their engagement. No date has been set for the impending nuptials but it's safe to say that it will be the event of the season, or, a total shit show.
DeLaria, who was born and raised in Belleville, Illinois,  was the first out comedian to appear on a late-night talk show with her 1993 appearance on The Arsenio Hall Show.
The groundbreaking performer will be honored in Chicago on Valentine's Day with the Equality Illinois Freedom Award.
