ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Q Collective has announced the cast of John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask’s groundbreaking, Obie-winning Off-Broadway musical, Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

The “internationally ignored song stylist” Hedwig Schmidt, an East German gender queer rock singer, is also the victim of a botched sex-change operation. As she tours the U.S. with her loyal band, Hedwig candidly shares her life story. Raucous, soulful and wickedly funny with a brilliant glam rock score, this show has inspired legions of fans.

Luke Steingruby will don the wig as Hedwig herself. Sarah Gene Dowling sports the mustache of the gender-bending Yitzhak.

Hedwig and the Angry Inch will be directed by Jordan Woods, with assistance by Camille Fensterman; musical direction is by Holly Barber, with costume design by Lauren Smith, and sound and lighting design by Jim Robert. Casey Richards is the stage manager and Flynn Hayes is costume master.

Hedwig and the Angry Inch runs June 20-29, 2019 at the Monocle, in the Grove, on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m., with an additional 10:30 p.m. performance on both Saturdays.

Ticket go on sale May 1st on Eventbrite.
