Spots Celebrate Region’s Nightlife and Shopping
ST. LOUIS, Mo. – This week Explore St. Louis will launch the third phase of its award-winning ‘In the Know’ TV campaign featuring out television personality and native St. Louisan, Andy Cohen. The ads will promote St. Louis’ nightlife and shopping scenes for visitors. The campaign debuted in 2017 with a series of spots featuring Sterling K. Brown and early this year with new creative from actor John Goodman.
“The success and extension of the ‘In the Know’ campaign has been an overwhelming success, and we are so thrilled to have Andy join us as the latest St. Louis celebrity helping to tell our story to prospective visitors to our community,” said Brian Hall, Chief Marketing Officer, Explore St. Louis. “In addition to Sterling, John and Andy, we want to recognize and thank our marketing firm, H&L Partners, for their vision and hard work to make this series come to life.”
“St. Louis is the greatest place to grow up and I can list 1,000 things about it that I wouldn’t trade for the world,” said Cohen. “It’s a brilliant place to be from and to visit.”
In an effort to give back to the community, Cohen has donated his compensation to DOORWAYS, an interfaith non-profit organization which provides housing and related supportive services to improve quality of life and health outcomes for people affected by HIV/AIDS. His mother served on the organization’s board of directors for many years. The donation will help support this not-for-profit that serves the 15-county St. Louis metropolitan area, 62 under-served counties in outstate Missouri and another 55 under-served counties in outstate Illinois.
“I’m giving to DOORWAYS in honor of my mom who gave back to me and the gay community,” added Cohen.
